Attention Washington Borough & Township Residents:

Effective 12 Midnight, Saturday, August 1, 2009
The Washington Township Police will begin patrolling both the Borough and Township areas.

The Washington Township Police Department is an thirteen member force patrolling an area of 18.9 square miles and serving a population of roughly 7,000 people. We are located in the central part of Warren County, New Jersey.

We have thirteen officers and one civilian police clerk. Our patrol fleet consists of 8 marked patrol vehicles and 2 unmarked vehicles. Two of the marked patrol vehicles are SUV's equipped with 4-wheel drive.

Of the twelve officers in the patrol division:

Washington Township Police Officers are also tasked with providing security at the Washington Office of the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission. This coverage is paid for through a State Homeland Security Grant
